Dragon’s Den, Entrepreneurship and Healthy Eating with Leah Garrad-Cole

Ever since my son started on solid food, Love Child Organics have been a staple in my house. They’re easy squeeze pouches filled with organic fruits and veggies, and best part of all… no sugar! I remembered seeing the founders of Love Child, a husband and wife duo, on Dragon’s Den, placing bibs on the dragons and providing them samples of their delicious food. Now, Love Child is one of the most popular brands of baby food in Canada. You can’t go into a Wal-Mart, a Shoppers, a Safeway or… anywhere, without seeing their products.

This week on the podcast, I’m so pleased to be joined by the co-founder of Love Child Organics, Leah Garrad-Cole. Leah and I talk about her recently released cookbook It All Begins With Food, and how she made the journey from teacher to entrepreneur.

We also talk about Leah’s advice for entrepreneurs, how they prepared for their Dragon’s Den pitch, figuring out what skills you have and what you need to achieve your dreams, and how to get those little ones to eat their dinner!

Big thanks to Leah for joining the Girl Tries Life podcast. It was a fabulous interview.
