So… I’m behind on the podcast this week. SORRY! All I can say is that I’ve been feeling pretty under the weather lately, so I’ve prioritized sleep above all else in life! That, and this is the longest episode we’ve had on the podcast to date, so it was an intense one to edit.
This week I’m joined by my dear friend, Nicole Potter. Given the closeness of our friendship, Nicole’s awesomeness as a human being, and the happy hour(s) that we enjoyed while recording, the content matter is wide and adult.
We talk about sex. Yes. Sex. So… family members – skip forward about 25-30 minutes into the episode if you don’t want to feel scandalized! We talk sexuality, the gender spectrum, coming out, the history behind and the etiquette of attending a Pride Parade, Nicole’s role as a teacher for troubled youth, and the loss of her father at a young age. We go deep!
On the lighter side, we do also talk Nicole’s five recommended readings to diversify your bookshelf. If, like me, you find that you’ve previously been reading from predominantly one gender or race, it’s time to mix things up! Her suggested readings are below!
Now… if you listened to the sex part of the podcast, we talk about the OMG YES app. It’s definitely an experience and a cost-effective way to learn more about your sexuality and your body!
Also available on Audible. Get a free Audible download here!
I highly recommend you check out some (or all) of the books on Nicole’s recommended reading list.
Huge thanks to Nicole for joining the podcast and for being vulnerable enough to share all that she did. I think you’ll agree – she’s a pretty special person.
Next week on the podcast we’re joined by the author of Overwhelmed: Work, Love and Play When Nobody Has The Time, Brigid Schulte.
