The Royals, 80% and Career Defining Moments with Lisa Rushka

I have been honoured to have worked with Lisa Rushka over many years in my former life in events and community relations. In a relatively short time, Lisa and I pulled off some epic events for the company I worked for including an outdoor music festival (complete with food trucks and a famous Canadian band!), record-breaking internal fundraising campaigns, a winter carnival, a casino-themed holiday party, amazing Stampede hoe-downs and so much more. And that’s just in the time I¬†was able to work with Lisa and experience her as a mentor.

In Lisa’s own life, she runs Momentum Communications, a boutique PR and communications firm, she has spearheaded a royal visit (hello Will and Kate!), raised two adorable boys, traveled internationally, and learned some incredible lessons about how to get the work done and be an entrepreneur.

Today’s interview has been one of my favourites, because it goes to show that women really can achieve big things, balance family life and be incredibly happy people. I think you’ll get a lot out of it!
