Where Are We Going?

Hey folks,

Hard to believe that we’re reaching the end of 2015 and Baby Smith is almost here.

I’ve been hard at work getting as much in order as I can before my life is about to turn upside down! Going without regular sleep has never been a forte of mine, so I have a feeling it’s going to be a bit of a struggle for me. As such, I’ve been prepping meals, cleaning the house, getting final pieces of work in order, oh and buying a house. Yeah, that’s taken up a bit of time.

And the blog!

I haven’t forgotten about the blog, not at all, I’ve more just been trying to figure out what it will look like for the foreseeable future. It’s a tricky one. The posts that seem to have resonated the most lately have been my pregnancy updates, so I imagine that you’ll want to keep hearing about Baby Smith for a while yet. We’ve been traveling less this year, what with shingles and the baby bump a-growing, so I’m starting to run out of fresh material. I’ve also been sleeping SO MUCH lately, that I haven’t got a ton of writing-related material to share with you.

Essentially, I don’t want to post for the sake of posting. I’d rather you be reading well-thought through, quality posts, not just something I threw together at the last minute to meet my 3 times a week blogging schedule. It serves neither you nor I.

As such, I’m definitely planning to pull back on the number of posts for a while. Maximum twice a week, but perhaps only one. I have a few pre-scheduled so that I can take some time to chill out with Baby Smith when he or she arrives. My hope is that come April/May 2016 I’ll be back to the 3x/week schedule, as 2016 has a lot of excitement in store. I’ll be spending almost a month in the UK, so will have plenty to write about from a travel perspective. I’ll have also attended many cool Alberta Romance Writers’ Association workshops, so I’ll have much more to share on the writing front.

Basically, I think I’ll have to be pretty flexible with posts from now until April. In the meantime, I hope to bring you good quality posts.

If there are topics that you’re interested in hearing about (think writing/reading, travel, pregnancy and/or newborn related), leave a note in the comments and I’ll try and write about it!

Wishing you all a great holiday season and a Happy New Year! Please keep connecting with me, commenting on posts and letting me know what you’d like to ready about.

Much love,

Victoria (a.k.a. Girl Tries Life)
