Creative Solutions and Doctors Without Borders with Cassandra Arnold

Today I’m joined by Cassandra Arnold, who I first met years ago at a local writers conference. She’d written a book about her time with Doctor’s Without Borders and I was fascinated.

Cassandra has such an interesting story of starting in medicine at the age of 34 after a series of jobs that didn’t fulfill her. Did I mention she had a son when she started medicine and she was a single parent?

The goal was always to work with Doctors Without Borders and Cassandra was placed all over the world, mainly in Africa. We talk about some of the profound experiences that shaped her and the resilience it takes to do that work.

She’s also massively creative. Cassandra is a writer, an artist (check out her artwork here), and she’s embracing this next chapter of life with creative challenges and experiments.
