One Year Blogaversary

Hard to believe it’s officially here. My one year Blogaversary! Twas a stormy night on December 27th, 2013 when Girl Tries Life came into existence, high off the post-Christmas rush… just kidding, I’m not going to regale you with the nitty gritty details.

To be perfectly honest, I’m as surprised as anyone that I’ve stuck it out a year. I’m even more surprised that for the most part, it never felt like a chore. Yes, I had a couple of Monday nights where the looming deadline of Travel Tuesday gave me some anxiety, but ultimately I stuck to it. I’ve tried to blog before, starting and stopping, but would often give up after a few posts. But with Girl Tries Life… I don’t know what it is, but it’s a magical combination for me of writing and travel, two of my passions in life.

I think the biggest feeling that I have today is pride. I’m proud of my commitment. I’m proud of the improvement I’m making. I’m proud that I’m getting out of my comfort zone and learning more about photography, WordPress, SEO, etc.

So, for the year of blogging in review, I thought I’d share with you what the 5 most popular blog posts have been, and the 5 posts that perhaps weren’t as popular, but that I really wish you’d read. In one way or another they meant a lot to me.
