Podcast Episode 21: Celebrate

You guys! You made it to Day 21. And do you know what that means…?

That means that if you listen to today’s podcast episode you hear me sing. Kind of. Badly.

celebrate

The reason that you hear me sing, is because I can’t help but celebrate.

Here’s the thing, today’s episode is all about the importance of celebrating and why you should incorporate celebrations into milestones along reaching your goal.

Or listen on iTunes.

Have you ever met someone who just grinds away at their goal, working non-stop without pausing to celebrate the little victories along the way? I have. I bet you have as well. Sure, you could power through, not taking stock of your progress until you reach the end goal, but what kind of joy would that bring to your life?

Minimal.

It is so critical to celebrate the mini milestones along the way, both as a form of motivation to keep you going, and to bolster your self-esteem.

In the podcast I talk about my experience with Weight Watchers, and I describe how they ROCK at celebrating along the way, making their clients more likely to keep going on their weight loss journey.

There are so many different ways to celebrate. Celebrate with friends and family. Buy a cupcake. Get a new pair of shoes. Treat yourself to a Sunday morning sleeping in (sigh… that sounds good right now). Take a day off to do exactly what you wish.

I don’t care what it looks like, but your challenge, your final challenge, is to identify the milestones along the way where you can celebrate… and do so!

How am I celebrating?

By letting you know that this is the last episode in the 21 Days to Kick Start Your Best Life challenge, which means that we move onto the meat and potatoes of the Girl Tries Life podcast.

Interviews!

First up, we’re interviewing business and leadership coach, Stephanie Pollock. Stephanie has her own incredible podcast, and she was kind enough to be my first real-life interview, helping me find my podcasting feet.

You guys, the way NOT to miss her episode is to make sure you’re subscribed to the podcast. So, if you’re not head on over to iTunes and subscribe. While you’re at it… if you could take 30 seconds to rate and review the podcast, it would mean the world to me.

See you on Thursday for our first, kick-ass interview!

What a great podcast. I am so proud of you Victoria. So there is only one question and I think it is pretty obvious, how are you celebrating after completing this podcast? I think your listeners would love hear about it.

Hehehe good question. It sounds super simple, but I celebrated with a bit of time to read. Reading is something I love, but has been slightly on the backburner with all the recording, editing and uploading of podcasts (not to mention shownotes for the blog). So… I sat down and read, for like an hour. In my book *pun*, that was celebrating! Hence why I say, celebrate in a way that makes YOU feel good.
