I am OVER THE MOON (yes, ALL CAPS) to be joined this week by mental health advocate, journalist for the Telegraph, author and all around kick-ass woman, Bryony Gordon.
As many of you know, I’m incredibly passionate about decreasing stigma around mental health issues, so when I first heard Bryony’s podcast, Mad World, where she interviews people affected by mental health issues, it spoke to my heart. It didn’t hurt that her very first episode was with Prince Harry… No, she didn’t get an invite to the wedding. Yes, I did ask!
In this episode we talk about Bryony’s personal journey with OCD, her coping mechanisms throughout her early twenties, writing Mad Girl, how she now handles self care, her Mad World podcast and so much more.
Truly, it was an honour to be joined by Bryony on this episode!
This podcast is a proud member of the Alberta Podcast Network, powered by ATB. ATB actively support Pride events and programs across Alberta. The APN podcast that I recommend you check out is Assumptions, where a Christian and an atheist have a polite conversation – kind of.
To join or start a Mental Health Mates group, find more information here.
Bryony’s next book, Eat Drink Run comes out May 31st in the UK. Not sure what the North American release date is, but I’m including the information below.
The most inspiring book Bryony has recently read.
