This week on the podcast I’m so pleased to be joined by local teacher, world traveler and incredible mom, Jody Danchuk. Way back when my husband and I backpacked Southeast Asia in 2014, I vividly remember this Australian family that we kept running into as we travelled throughout Vietnam (most travellers go a similar route). They were there with their 10 and 12 year old kids and I thought what an incredible gift and adventure it was to take kids that were old enough to remember it, but young enough that they weren’t in the challenging teen years.
A friend introduced me to Jody, who did just that. The Danchuk family travelled around the world for 7 months, teaching their kids on the road and capturing their experiences on their blog, The Dantreks, and their Instagram account.
I was so pleased to chat with Jody about exactly how they did this, from destination planning to budgeting, schooling on the road and the transition home. If traveling with your family is something that you’re interested in, this episode is for you!
